At Audio Imperial, we believe you should never pay more than necessary for premium audio equipment. This policy governs how we handle price adjustments on your previous purchases and how we match verified lower prices from qualifying competitors — all in accordance with U.S. consumer protection law.

A price adjustment means we credit you the difference when the price of an item you already purchased drops on our website within the eligible timeframe. This section explains exactly how that works, what qualifies, and what to expect.

What Is a Price Adjustment?

A price adjustment is a post-purchase credit issued when Audio Imperial reduces the listed selling price of an item on audioimperial.com within 7 calendar days after your order has been delivered. The credit represents the difference between the price you paid and the new, lower price.

For example, if you purchased a pair of bookshelf speakers for $349.00 and our website price drops to $299.00 within 7 days of your delivery, you would be eligible to receive a $50.00 credit back to your original payment method, subject to all conditions below being met.

Important: A price adjustment is applied to the final price you paid, after any discount codes or promotional savings you already received at checkout. The credit will only reflect the additional price drop, not the entire price change from the original MSRP.

Adjustment Window: 7 Calendar Days from Delivery

You have 7 calendar days from the date your order is marked as delivered by the carrier to submit a price adjustment request. The delivery date is determined by the tracking confirmation from the shipping carrier we used for your order.

  • Day 1 begins on the calendar date your package is marked "Delivered" — not the date of your order, nor the date of shipment.
  • If the 7th day falls on a weekend or a U.S. federal holiday, the deadline is extended to the next business day.
  • Requests submitted after the 7-day window will not be honored, regardless of the price difference involved.
  • The price of the item must be lower on audioimperial.com at the time you submit your request — not at a later date.

Conditions Required for an Adjustment

All of the following conditions must be satisfied for a price adjustment request to be approved:

  • Same item, same variant: The identical product — same model number, same color, same size, and same configuration — must be currently available on audioimperial.com at the lower price. If an item has been discontinued, removed, or the variant sold out, it is ineligible.
  • Item not on sale at original purchase: Price adjustments are not available on items that were already reduced through a limited-time sale event, flash sale, clearance promotion, bundle deal, or special promotional code at the time of your original purchase.
  • Order delivered and not returned: Your order must already be delivered and not in an active return process. Items undergoing a return or refund are not eligible for a price adjustment.
  • One adjustment per item per order: Only one price adjustment per individual line item per order will be honored. If the price drops again after a credit is issued, no further adjustments will be made on that item.
  • Order placed on audioimperial.com only: Adjustments are available only for purchases made directly through audioimperial.com. Third-party marketplace purchases are not covered.

How the Adjustment Credit Is Calculated

The adjustment credit equals the difference between what you paid per unit (after any discounts already applied at checkout) and the current selling price at the time of your request, multiplied by the number of qualifying units in your order.

Any applicable sales tax on the credited amount will also be refunded where required by applicable state law. Audio Imperial collects and remits sales tax in accordance with Florida state law and Wayfair nexus obligations where applicable.

Example Calculation: You purchased 2 units of a speaker model at $199.00 each (total $398.00 after a $20 coupon you used). The website price later drops to $179.00. Your adjustment credit = ($199.00 − $179.00) × 2 = $40.00 returned to your original payment method.

Price Match Policy

Found the same product for less at another qualifying U.S. retailer? We will match that price — before your order is placed. Our Price Match policy is designed to ensure you are never overpaying when shopping at Audio Imperial.

What Is a Price Match?

A price match is an adjustment we make to our selling price at the time of purchase so that your total cost for the item matches the price currently listed at a qualifying competitor's U.S. website — before you complete your checkout at Audio Imperial.

Price matching is available for pre-purchase requests only. We do not match competitor prices retroactively after an order has been placed. If you find a lower price before completing checkout, contact our customer support team and we will review and process the match before your order is finalized.

What Qualifies as a Matching Competitor?

For a competitor to qualify under our Price Match policy, all of the following criteria must be met at the time of your request:

  • U.S.-based retailer: The competitor must be a legitimate, established U.S. online retailer that sells to U.S. customers and ships within the United States.
  • Authorized seller: The competitor must be an authorized reseller of the brand in question — not a gray-market, unauthorized third-party, or overseas seller listing products on a U.S.-accessible site.
  • Verifiable publicly listed price: The price must be clearly displayed and accessible on the competitor's website without requiring a coupon code, membership sign-in, loyalty program discount, or any other individualized pricing. The URL must be shareable and verifiable by our team.
  • Item in stock at the competitor: The competitor must have the item in stock and available for immediate purchase at the time of your request. Out-of-stock, pre-order, or back-order competitor listings do not qualify.
  • Same condition: The item must be brand new, unopened, and identical in condition to the item we sell. Refurbished, open-box, used, or certified pre-owned listings will not be matched.

Identical Item Requirement

For a price match to apply, the competitor's item must be exactly identical to the item listed on audioimperial.com in every respect, including:

  • Brand and manufacturer: Same brand name and the same manufacturing entity — no store-brand equivalents or OEM variants.
  • Model number: The exact model number as listed by the manufacturer must match. Successor models, prior-generation models, or alternate configurations do not qualify.
  • Color and finish: The same color variant or finish option you are purchasing must be the one the competitor has in stock at the matched price.
  • Bundle contents: If our listing includes bundled accessories (such as cables, stands, or mounting hardware) that the competitor's listing does not include — or vice versa — the listings are not considered identical and a price match will not be issued.
  • Warranty terms: Both listings must include the same manufacturer's warranty. Items sold with limited or no warranty by the competitor do not qualify.

What Is Not Covered

The following situations, sources, and item types are explicitly excluded from both our Price Adjustment and Price Match programs. We list these clearly so there is no confusion or surprise at the time of a request.

Limited-Time & Flash Sales Prices offered during flash sales, 24-hour deals, daily deals, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, or any other time-limited promotional event — whether on our site or a competitor's — are excluded from both programs.
Clearance & Liquidation Items marked as clearance, final sale, overstock liquidation, or end-of-line by Audio Imperial or any competitor are not eligible for adjustment or matching.
Refurbished, Open-Box & Used Items Any competitor pricing on refurbished units, certified pre-owned, open-box, returned, or used items will not be matched against our new, unopened inventory.
Third-Party Marketplace Listings Prices listed by third-party sellers on platforms such as Amazon Marketplace, eBay, Walmart Marketplace, Facebook Marketplace, and similar platforms are not eligible for price matching, as these sellers are not authorized or verifiable retailers.
Coupon, Membership & Loyalty Prices Prices that require a coupon code, promotional code, store membership, loyalty card, or club enrollment to achieve are not eligible. The price must be accessible to any general visitor without an account or special qualification.
Bundle & Multi-Item Deals Prices tied to multi-item bundles, buy-one-get-one offers, combo deals, or package pricing where individual item prices are not transparently disclosed are excluded from both programs.
Overseas & International Retailers Any price from a retailer primarily based outside the United States, or one that does not fulfill orders from within U.S. territory, is not eligible for matching. This includes overseas e-commerce sites that ship to the U.S. as a secondary market.
Typing or Website Errors Prices that are the result of a documented pricing error, typographical mistake, or system glitch — either on Audio Imperial's site or a competitor's site — will not be honored as a price match or adjustment basis.
Items Purchased with a Discount Code For price adjustments: items purchased using a promotional discount, coupon, or store credit at the time of original purchase are not eligible for a subsequent adjustment, as a price reduction was already applied.
Discontinued & No-Longer-Stocked Items If the item has been permanently removed from our catalog or is discontinued by the manufacturer, it is not eligible for a price adjustment even if a sale event causes a temporary remaining-stock price drop.
Orders Not Purchased on audioimperial.com Neither policy applies to purchases made through any third-party marketplace where Audio Imperial products may appear. Coverage is limited to direct transactions processed through audioimperial.com.
Non-Verifiable Prices If we are unable to independently verify the competitor's price at the time of the request because the page is behind a login, has been removed, or the item is out of stock, we cannot honor the match.

Our team will review the submitted information, confirm eligibility against all criteria in this policy, verify the competitor listing (for price matches), and confirm the current price on our site (for adjustments).

Receive Your Approval or Decision

You will receive an email confirmation within 1–2 business days informing you whether your request was approved or denied, with a clear explanation. Approved requests proceed immediately to processing.

Credit Issued Within 5–7 Business Days

For approved price adjustments, the difference is returned to your original payment method within 5–7 business days after approval. For price matches, the adjusted price will be applied to your order before checkout is completed.

Refund Method & Timeline

Approved credits are always returned to your original form of payment — not issued as store credit, gift cards, or vouchers. We maintain this standard in compliance with FTC guidance on honest refund practices and to ensure full transparency.

Original Payment Method — Always

All approved price adjustment credits are refunded exclusively to the payment method used at the time of the original transaction. The following outlines processing timelines by payment type:

  • Credit or Debit Card: Credits are initiated within 1–3 business days of approval. Your card issuer typically posts the credit within 5–10 business days. Exact timing depends on your bank or card network.
  • PayPal: Credits are returned to your PayPal account within 3–5 business days of approval and are typically available immediately or within 1 business day once initiated by PayPal.
  • Shop Pay / Installments: Credits are applied to your Shop Pay account. If your installment plan is still active, the credit may reduce upcoming payment installments. Contact Shop Pay support if you have questions about how a credit affects your plan.

Transparency Note: Audio Imperial does not profit from price adjustment timelines. We process all approved credits as promptly as our payment processors allow and will never intentionally delay a valid credit.

No Store Credit Substitution

Audio Imperial does not issue price adjustment credits in the form of store credit, gift cards, promotional vouchers, or coupon codes as a substitute for a cash refund to the original payment method. This practice is in line with the FTC's position on fair refund practices and ensures that customers receive the full financial benefit of any approved adjustment.

It depends on who is actually selling the item. If the item is sold directly by Amazon (i.e., "Sold by Amazon.com" and fulfilled by Amazon) and Amazon is an authorized retailer of that brand, we will consider the price match request. However, we do not match prices from third-party sellers listed on Amazon's marketplace — even if they use Amazon's fulfillment (FBA). Marketplace sellers are not authorized retailers and their pricing is not verifiable in the way our policy requires. When submitting your request, please specify who the seller is on the Amazon listing.

Credit and debit card refunds typically take 5–10 additional business days to appear on your statement, depending on your card issuer. PayPal refunds are typically faster.
