Why We Publish This Policy

Audio Imperial sells precision electronics — amplifiers, DACs, music streamers, speakers, and turntables — where a single number, such as wattage, frequency response, or driver size, can be the deciding factor in a customer's purchase. This policy explains exactly where our specifications come from, how we keep them accurate, what to do if you ever spot something that looks wrong, and how we correct it.

Every specification, dimension, weight, connector type, and performance figure listed on an Audio Imperial product page is intended to accurately reflect the corresponding manufacturer's published documentation for that exact model and finish. We do not estimate, guess, or invent technical figures, and we do not alter a manufacturer's stated specifications to make a product appear more capable than it is.

This policy applies to every product listed at audioimperial.com, across all five of our categories: Amplifiers & Receivers, DACs, Music Streamers, Speakers, and Turntables, and is provided in the interest of full transparency for shoppers, in line with U.S. consumer protection law and truth-in-advertising standards.

Where Our Product Information Comes From

As an authorized dealer, we do not write specifications from scratch. Every figure published on our site is sourced through one of the following channels, in order of priority.

1. Official Brand Datasheets

Specification sheets, owner's manuals, and technical documentation published directly by Audiolab, Cyrus, Dual, Mission, Q Acoustics, and Violectric.

2. Manufacturer Distributor Feeds

Product data, images, and descriptions supplied to us directly by the brand or its authorized U.S. distributor for catalog and e-commerce use.

3. Verified Brand Websites

The brand's own official website, used to confirm or fill in details when a figure is not included in the distributor feed for a specific model or finish.

4. Internal QA Review

Before publishing, our team cross-checks model numbers, finishes, and key figures against the manufacturer source to catch copy or formatting errors.

We do not use: third-party marketplace listings, AI-generated guesses, unofficial fan sites, or specifications carried over from a different model, color, or regional version of a product as a source for the figures we publish.

What This Policy Covers

“Product specification” means any factual, measurable, or technical claim we display about an item. For our catalog, this includes the items below.

Power & Electrical Output wattage (RMS), impedance ratings, input voltage, power consumption, and amplifier configuration (e.g., 2-channel, integrated).
Audio Performance Frequency response range, signal-to-noise ratio, total harmonic distortion (THD), DAC chipset model (e.g., ESS SABRE), and supported audio formats/resolutions.
Connectivity Input and output types and counts (RCA, XLR, optical, coaxial, HDMI), Bluetooth and Wi-Fi support, network streaming protocols (e.g., BluOS), and phono stage availability.
Mechanical & Build Driver sizes and types (e.g., bass, tweeter), turntable drive type (belt-drive or direct-drive), tonearm and cartridge details, and cabinet/finish materials.
Physical Dimensions Height, width, depth, and weight of the unit, listed in the units provided by the manufacturer (commonly inches/pounds or centimeters/kilograms).
Included Items & Warranty What ships in the box, included accessories, and the length and type of manufacturer warranty coverage that applies to the specific model purchased.
Compatibility Stated compatibility with specific apps, ecosystems, streaming services, or other hardware, exactly as represented by the manufacturer.

How We Keep Listings Accurate

We take the following concrete steps on every product page to reduce the risk of inaccurate or misleading technical information.

No mixing of models: Specifications, images, and pricing on a product page correspond to the exact model, version, and finish being sold — not a similar or related product.
No inflated claims: We do not use marketing language that overstates performance beyond what the manufacturer's own documentation supports (for example, we will not claim a wattage, range, or rating higher than the official spec sheet states).
Clear unit labeling: Measurements are labeled with their unit (inches, pounds, watts, Hz, etc.) so figures cannot be misread or misinterpreted.
Stock photography disclosure: Where manufacturer studio images are used instead of in-house photography, the listing reflects the actual color/finish variant being sold; we do not use a photo of a different finish to represent a product.
Routine review: Product listings are periodically checked against current manufacturer documentation, particularly when a brand issues a model refresh, firmware update, or revised spec sheet.
Honest stock and pricing status: Availability shown on the page (e.g., “Only 9 left,” “In Stock”) and pricing reflect real-time data from our inventory system, not placeholder or estimated values.

Reasonable Limitations You Should Know About

We want to be transparent about the natural limits of any specifications-based listing, so there are no surprises after you order.

Manufacturer revisions: Brands occasionally update firmware, internal components, or specifications without changing the external model name. When we become aware of such a change, we update the listing as quickly as possible.
Display & color variance: Photos are provided for reference. Actual product color and finish may appear slightly different due to monitor calibration, lighting, and device screen settings.
Measurement tolerances: Dimensions and weights are manufacturer-stated and may include standard manufacturing tolerances of a few millimeters or ounces, which is normal for hi-fi hardware.
Compatibility is brand-stated: Compatibility with third-party apps, streaming services, or other hardware is based on the manufacturer's own claims at time of listing and may change if a third-party service updates its own platform.
Typographical errors: Despite our review process, occasional copy or formatting errors can occur. If a price or specification is listed incorrectly due to a typographical error, we reserve the right to correct it and will inform any affected customer before processing their order.
