Prohibited Items &
Restricted Products Policy
A clear statement of what Audio Imperial does and does not sell, who can buy from us, where we ship, and how we keep counterfeit, unsafe, and unlawful goods off this Site entirely.

Why This Policy Exists
Audio Imperial is a narrow, curated storefront — we sell new, authorized hi-fi electronics in five categories, full stop. This policy exists to put that in writing, so customers, payment processors, and shipping carriers all know exactly where our catalog begins and ends.
This Prohibited Items & Restricted Products Policy applies to every product listed for sale on audioimperial.com (the "Site"), operated by NMG Express LLC, and to every order placed through it. It supplements our Terms of Service and works alongside our Shipping Policy and Refund Policy.
Because Audio Imperial is a single-merchant store — not a marketplace — there are no third-party sellers, no user-generated listings, and no open marketplace categories where unauthorized items could appear. Every product on this Site is added by us, sourced through an authorized brand-distribution channel, before it is ever listed for sale.
“If it isn't a new amplifier, DAC, music streamer, speaker, or turntable from one of our authorized brands, we don't sell it — and this page explains exactly what that means in practice.”
Categories Excluded From This Store, No Exceptions
None of the following has ever appeared, or will ever appear, in our catalog. We list these categories explicitly so there is no ambiguity for customers, payment processors, advertising platforms, or regulators reviewing this Site.
Why list things we obviously don't sell? Transparency policies like this one are reviewed not just by customers, but by payment processors (Shopify Payments, Stripe, PayPal), advertising platforms, and shipping carriers — all of whom require merchants to affirmatively state they don't deal in these categories. We'd rather over-disclose than leave it ambiguous.
Five Categories. Six Authorized Brands. Nothing Else.
Our entire catalog sits inside five product categories — Amplifiers & Receivers, DACs, Music Streamers, Speakers, and Turntables — sourced exclusively from Audiolab, Cyrus, Dual Electronics, Mission, Q Acoustics, and Violectric through each brand's official distribution channel.
Before any product is published to the Site, it must (1) be new, factory-sealed inventory, (2) come from one of our six authorized brand partners' official distribution channel, and (3) be eligible for that manufacturer's original warranty. A product that doesn't meet all three conditions never gets listed — there is no exception path, no "as-is" clearance category, and no third party permitted to add inventory to this Site.
This is also why you will never see parallel-import, grey-market, or "compatible"/aftermarket accessories marketed as genuine brand parts on Audio Imperial.
Even Ordinary Hi-Fi Gear Touches a Few Regulations
Amplifiers, streamers, and speakers aren't "restricted" items, but a few real regulatory frameworks still apply to them. Here's how we handle each one.
FCC Equipment Authorization
Bluetooth-enabled streamers and wireless components carry the manufacturer's FCC equipment authorization under 47 C.F.R. Part 15. We only list units that ship with this authorization intact and unmodified.
Lithium Battery Shipping Rules
Where a product we sell contains a built-in lithium battery, it is packaged and shipped in compliance with U.S. Department of Transportation hazardous materials rules (49 C.F.R. § 173.185) and carrier-specific lithium-battery shipping requirements.
Safety Listings (UL / ETL / CE)
Mains-powered electronics we sell carry the manufacturer's applicable safety certification mark. We pass that certification through unaltered; we do not sell uncertified or "no-name" electrical components.
CPSC Recall Monitoring
We monitor U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recall notices (cpsc.gov) and our suppliers' own recall communications for every brand we carry, so an affected product can be pulled from sale immediately if one is ever issued.
What Our Equipment Isn't Built or Sold For
Beyond what we sell, it's worth being equally clear about the uses our products are not intended for.
- Not for resale, export, or commercial redistribution without our prior written authorization. Per our Terms of Service, purchases are for your own personal or household use.
- Not rated for life-support, medical, or safety-critical systems. Our amplifiers, DACs, streamers, speakers, and turntables are consumer hi-fi components only — they are not designed, tested, or certified for use in any application where failure could threaten life or safety.
- Not designed for voltages or markets outside the U.S. standard. See our Limitation of Liability & Disclaimers page for the full electrical-safety explanation.
- Not to be relabeled, modified, or resold as new after any use, alteration, or removal of original packaging, serial numbers, or safety/regulatory labeling.
- Not to be used to circumvent a manufacturer's regional, firmware, or licensing restrictions on streaming or network-connected components.
- Not to be purchased using stolen, fraudulent, or unauthorized payment credentials or under a false identity. Orders showing signs of this are subject to cancellation under Section 10 below.
We Sell Inside the United States. That's the Whole Map.
50 U.S. States Only
We ship to all 50 U.S. states. We do not fulfill orders to U.S. territories, APO/FPO military addresses, or any destination outside the United States.
No International Sales or Export
Products purchased from Audio Imperial may not be exported, re-shipped, or diverted outside the United States by the buyer. We do not knowingly sell to freight-forwarders or resellers whose evident purpose is export.
Sanctions & Denied-Party Screening
Orders are processed in compliance with U.S. Department of the Treasury (OFAC) sanctions programs and the Export Administration Regulations administered by the Department of Commerce. We reserve the right to decline or cancel any order connected to a restricted party, country, or end use.
A Few Basic Conditions Apply to Every Order
Age of Majority
You must be at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence to place an order, consistent with Section 1 of our Terms of Service.
Accurate Identity & Payment Information
Billing, shipping, and payment details provided at checkout must be accurate, current, and belong to the person placing the order or someone they are authorized to act for.
Lawful Purpose
Orders must be placed for a lawful personal or household purpose. We may decline service to anyone for any lawful reason, including suspected fraud, abuse, or policy violations.
If It Says Audio Imperial, It Came From Us — Or It Isn't Real
The Site is a single-merchant storefront operated entirely by NMG Express LLC — there are no third-party sellers, drop-shippers, or affiliate marketplace listings on audioimperial.com. Every item is sourced directly from an authorized brand-distribution channel before it is listed, which is how we guarantee none of our inventory is counterfeit, stolen, or grey-market.
If you encounter a listing on any other website or marketplace claiming to be "Audio Imperial" merchandise, it was not sold by us and we cannot vouch for its authenticity, warranty eligibility, or safety. Please report it to us using the contact details in Section 11.
What Happens If a Product We Sold Is Recalled
If the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission or one of our brand partners issues a recall or safety notice affecting a product we have sold, we will:
- Immediately remove the affected listing from the Site and halt all further sales of it;
- Notify customers who purchased the affected unit, using the contact information on file with their order;
- Provide a free return, replacement, or refund for the affected unit at no cost to the customer, regardless of our standard 30-day return window or restocking fee.
Consumer Product Safety Act: Our recall response process is designed to align with manufacturer and CPSC recall procedures under the Consumer Product Safety Act. If you believe a product you purchased from us may be subject to a recall, contact us immediately and stop using the product until you hear back.
We Reserve the Right to Decline or Cancel an Order
NMG EXPRESS LLC RESERVES THE RIGHT, AT ITS SOLE DISCRETION, TO REFUSE, LIMIT, OR CANCEL ANY ORDER THAT WE REASONABLY BELIEVE VIOLATES THIS POLICY — INCLUDING ORDERS THAT APPEAR INTENDED FOR EXPORT, RESALE, FRAUDULENT PAYMENT, OR USE OUTSIDE THE PERMITTED SCOPE DESCRIBED ABOVE.
What this means for you: If we cancel or decline an order under this policy, we will notify you using the contact information provided at checkout and issue a full refund for any amount already charged. This right exists to protect the integrity of our authorized-dealer status and the safety of our customers — not to second-guess ordinary purchases.

Keeping This Page Current
As our product catalog, brand partnerships, or shipping carriers change, we may update this policy to reflect that. The "Effective / Last Updated" date below always reflects the current version. Continued use of the Site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
